Lisa Lewis, Chair, convened the meeting at 12:30. The minutes of the Feb. 28th meeting were approved without change.

Scholarships.  Helen showed the completed flyers, but they must still be approved for campus distribution. Several members volunteered to distribute flyers within their departments. The deadline for submission of a paper proposal is Apr. 28th. The winners will be invited to our May meeting for congratulations.

Task Force Report.  The members liked the Rosie the Riveter graphic, and decided that the colors for full professor, associate professor, and assistant professor should always be consistent on each graph. 1 copy of the report will be bound for the President and 1  for the University archives in the Library. Jean Van Delinder suggested that we try asking the Publications Office to print the report with color graphics and do the binding. She will present the report at the Faculty Council meeting on the 2nd Tuesday in May.

Campus activities.  Lisa announced that Adrienne Rich will read from her poetry on May 1, at 7:00 at the Public Library. Her visit is sponsored by various campus departments and organizations. The members agreed to pay the cost of her lodgings from the WFC account. 
Monsoon Wedding, the final Women’s Film Festival offering, will be shown tonight at 7:30. The Festival of Women will be held in 2 weeks in the Student Union, and the WFC will staff a table.  

Our last meeting of the academic year will take place on May 9th at 12:30, in the Student Union Rm. 419, and an election of new officers will be held.
