Who We Are

Improving the status of women at OSU
The Women's Faculty Council (WFC) works to improve the status of women at OSU by being advocates for women through educational programming, award funding, research, and career support. We also serve in an advisory capacity to the administration and university community.

What We Do

Advocate for women at OSU
We study needs and problems that impact women in institutions of higher education, and we recommend actions that promote progress toward equality. We provide space for those on OSU’s campus interested in raising awareness and developing action to share resources and spark movement. We share resources and connect individuals across the our community.

Congratulations to the 2022 Ann Ryder and Clara Smith WFC Leadership Endowed Scholarship Awardee

The 2022 Ann Ryder and Clara Smith Leadership Endowed Scholarship was awarded to Ishani Ray, a Chemistry junior who is pre-med and pre-law with minors in neuroscience and psychology. Congratulations, Ishani! Learn more about Ishani and her leadership work at the link below.

Congratulations to the 2022 WFC Research Award Winners

The WFC awarded Research Awards to 23 students in 2022. Many thanks to the OSU Colleges and Administrative Units who sponsored the awards! Thanks also go to Award Committee Co-Chairs Sarah Milligan and Erin Dyke and their team of volunteer proprosal reviewers. 2022 WFC Research Symposium

Please join us for the Women's Faculty Council Research Symposium on Wednesday, April 20 from 2-4pm in the Browsing Room, Edmon Low Library. We will be holding a Faculty Poster session from 2-3pm, followed by a Award Ceremony and Reception for our Student Research Award winners. All are welcome to attend! We would like to thank the Office of the Vice President for Research for their co-sponsorship of this event.
