Oklahoma State University

Welcome to the 2017-2018 Academic Year!

Who we are: the Women's Faculty Council (WFC) works to improve the status of women at OSU. We serve in an advisory capacity to the administration and university community.

What we do: We study needs and problems that impact women in institutions of higher education and we recommend actions that promote progress toward equality. We provide space for those on OSU’s campus interested in raising awareness and developing action to share resources and spark movement. We share resources and connect individuals in a common community.

Who should participate: Anyone is welcome to the WFC meetings and programming. All full-time female faculty of the OSU-Stillwater campus or members emeriti are full voting members of the WFC (if you want to broaden or clarify that, join the bylaws review committee this year!). Interested in participating? WFC has a variety of opportunities coming up!

What to expect for 2017/2018: Monthly informational programming with a short WFC business meeting. Request for participants to serve on the WFC research awards and undergraduate scholarship review committee. Request for participants to review and revise the WFC Bylaws. WFC Research Week sponsored panel. Book group discussions. Lots of encouragement to nominate your female peers to university awards in recognition of their work and service. Other suggestions? You tell This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
